Darren Rohan, MD FACS is a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon. He has been practicing in the Hudson Valley since 2007. Dr. Rohan currently holds the position of Westchester Regional Director of Thoracic Surgery for Northwell Health. He practices primarily at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco and Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. Dr. Rohan has been at the forefront of robotic chest surgery since 2012. He was the first surgeon in the Hudson Valley to use the da Vinci robot to treat patients with lung cancer, as well as the first surgeon in the country to perform lung resections with the da Vinci XI robot. In his current role at Northwell, he has developed a high volume, comprehensive, top quality robotic lung surgery program in Westchester County. In addition, he was instrumental in starting a cat scan screening program for patients that are at high risk for lung cancer. Dr. Rohan graduated with his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He did his surgical training at Boston University and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He currently lives in Ridgefield, CT.
